What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device through your browser so it can remember information between requests — for example, keeping you signed in or recalling how you like the interface to look. Learnidex also uses related browser storage such as localStorage, which lives on your device and is never sent to a server. This policy covers both cookies and that local storage.
How Learnidex Uses Cookies
Learnidex keeps this deliberately minimal. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing profiles. What we store falls into two groups: strictly necessary cookies required to run the service, and functional storage that remembers your preferences.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Supabase authentication and session — keeps you signed in and identifies your account across pages. | Essential (cookie) | Session / until you sign out |
| CSRF / security tokens | Protects requests against cross-site request forgery and secures your session. | Essential (cookie) | Session |
theme / font | Remembers your appearance choices — light or dark mode, theme, and font preference. | Preference (localStorage) | Persistent until cleared |
| Sidebar state | Remembers whether the navigation sidebar is collapsed or expanded. | Preference (localStorage) | Persistent until cleared |
cookie-consent | Records your choice on the consent banner so we don't ask again on every visit. | Preference (localStorage) | Persistent until cleared |
Essential Cookies Are Required
Strictly necessary cookies — authentication, session, and security — cannot be turned off, because the service cannot sign you in or keep your account secure without them. If you block these cookies, core features of Learnidex will not work. Preference storage is optional: declining it simply means we won't remember choices like your theme between visits.
Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted providers to operate the service. Supabase powers authentication, data storage, and session management, and sets the essential cookies above. Stripe handles payments and may set its own cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and secure processing. Our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) may also set operational cookies. These providers process data under their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Managing and Clearing Cookies
You can accept or reject non-essential preference storage using the consent banner shown on your first visit. You can also clear or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings — usually under Privacy or Security. Clearing our cookie-consent entry will make the banner appear again on your next visit. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features.
By continuing to use Learnidex after being shown the consent banner, you agree to our use of the non-essential preference storage described above.
