Learnidex (“Learnidex”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an AI-powered learning management platform. We generate courses, lessons, and assessments, grade your submissions, judge quiz answers, and run an AI tutor. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the service, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights and choices available to you. By creating an account or using Learnidex, you acknowledge the practices described here.
We collect the following categories of information, most of which you provide directly or generate through normal use of the service:
We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve Learnidex, including to:
We rely on your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and compliance with legal obligations as the bases for these uses, as applicable to you.
Learnidex is built around artificial intelligence. To generate courses, grade your submissions, judge quiz answers, and power the tutor, we send your prompts and learner content — including topics, uploaded source material, questions, submitted answers, and tutor messages — to our AI model provider (currently OpenAI), which processes that content to produce a response and returns it to us. The AI-generated output is stored in your account as part of your courses and learning record.
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or otherwise imperfect. It is provided for general educational purposes only and does not constitute professional, academic, legal, medical, or financial advice, and it is not a certification, credential, or accreditation of any kind. You should independently verify anything you rely on.
We share personal information with the following service providers who process it on our behalf to deliver core features. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy:
Your information may be processed and stored in the United States and in other countries where these providers operate. We do not sell your personal information.
To understand how Learnidex is used and to make it better, we record product-usage events on our own servers. These events describe actions and system operations — not the content of your work. Each event may include:
We use this data to operate and bill the service accurately, monitor reliability and performance, detect and prevent abuse, and prioritize improvements — understanding which features are used, where generation is slow or failing, and how much capacity to provision. This telemetry is visible only to us as the operator; it is not sold or shared with advertisers, and it is deleted or anonymized when you delete your account, subject to the retention exceptions below.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain certain records (for example, billing and tax records). Backups and logs may persist for a limited time before being overwritten.
Subject to applicable law, you have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, correct or update it, delete it, and export a copy. Much of your data can be viewed, edited, or removed directly within the app, and you may delete your account at any time.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with similar laws (GDPR), you additionally have rights of rectification, erasure, restriction of and objection to processing, and data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion of your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@learnidex.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit, row-level security access controls that scope each user’s data to their own account, scoped credentials, and restricted server-side access to sensitive keys. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Learnidex is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies under local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@learnidex.com so we can delete it.
Learnidex and its service providers operate in the United States and other countries. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and elsewhere, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for such transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
